There’s no better excuse than Bake A Wish to make that new recipe you’ve been wanting to try! These delicious chocolate tarts are starting to get us into the Christmas spirit. So easy to make and almost too cute to eat! Almost... 

Choc-Butternut Rudolph Tarts

v250g packet Butternut Snap biscuits

v65g unsalted butter

v1/3 cup cream

v200g milk or dark chocolate - chopped

v10 white marshmallows – halved horizontally

v2 tablespoons vanilla frosting

v20 jaffas

v20 mini white marshmallows – halved horizontally

v¼ cup extra chocolate – melted

v40 mini star shaped pretzels


vPreheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan-forced).

vPlace 1 bickie over each hole of a 12-hole, round-based shallow tart tin.

vBake for 2-3 minutes or until soft.

vRemove, and carefully press softened bickies into tin to make a cup shape.

vOnce cool, remove from tin and transfer to plate. Repeat to use all bickies.


vPlace butter, cream and chocolate in a saucepan over very low heat, stirring continually for 7 minutes or until smooth.

vPour into a clean, dry bowl and refrigerate for 20 minutes or until cool but not set.


vFill bickie cups with 1 heaped teaspoon of choc mixture.

vRefrigerate for 20-25 minutes, or until set.

And now for the best bit...

vPress 1 marshmallow half into each tart.

vAttach 1 jaffa to each marshmallow with vanilla frosting to form a nose

vAttach 2 mini marshmallow halves above nose to form eyes. Use a drop of melted chocolate to form pupils.

vCut pretzels in half to form antler shapes and place 2 pieces above eyes.
